MailMeter Compliance Review - email policy monitoring
Compliance with Regulations
MailMeter Compliance Review monitors email content against lists of words you selected. Any message that is flagged is included in a report for a reviewer / auditor where they can "tag" messages and include comments. A compliance officer can track all reviewer's activities.
Acceptable usage monitoring examples
- financial services terms - meeting FINRA rules
- inappropriate words - jokes, slang, ethnic slurs, age discrimination, cursing
- dangerous words - gun, bomb, bullet, kill, etc.
- trade secrets, secret projects, important deals
Speed up the review process
For business or regulatory purpose you may have to review all or a percentage of email. MailMeter Compliance Review automatically searches the content of emails — for any group of users — over any time period. It delivers a report by group to designated reviewers of any word list matches.
In minutes a reviewer can read the flagged emails and mark them for further review or take action to correct inappropriate behavior.
Managers can spend more time working with their team knowing MailMeter Compliance Review is analyzing email content and will let them know if there are any unacceptable messages being sent or received.

How MailMeter Compliance Review Works
MailMeter Compliance Review is a browser based application that a user logs into (or is automatically logged in using Active Directory). A compliance officer can create new plans, modify existing plans, and delete reviews.
The MailMeter scheduler runs all activated plans according to their ferquency schedule. Messages are selected for review based on the plan criteria - users, percentage sampling, data range, tags, etc.
Message content is compared against the word list for a plan. Any matches cause the message to be placed in a report - list of messages for the reviewers specified in the plan.
A reviewer receives a notification to review messages. Reviewers can be one of many, require multiple reviewers, or mulitple reviewers from different reviewer groups.
Messages are reviewed by opening a message or by checking a "Reviewed" tag box - depending on the plan criteria.
