MailMeter ISR, Individual Search and Retrieval, gives users the ability to search the archive for every email that they sent or received. For users, it’s like having the ultimate Inbox and Sent folders with fast, intelligent searching.
Powerful Searching
A user can easily search the Archive for all email:
- from a specific email address or domain (all users at a specified organization)
- any date range
- specific text in the message body or attachments
- Wildcard, verb tense, fuzzy, Boolean and proximity searching are supported

MailMeter ISR searches emails that were automatically captured in a secured archive - outside of your email server. All emails and attachments are indexed for searching.
Shrink the amount of email in your email server. Put a simple rule in to delete all emails older than two years.
- Reduces backup times - less data means less time to back up and less media needed. Faster backups means faster recovery since there is less data in a mailbox or server.

ISR has a browser search and an Outlook Add-In — just enter an email address or content and click Search.
You can search message, subject line, attachment names or attachment contents.
Why bother having folders when search is so fast?
Most users waste time by storing messages received into folders — just so they have a better chance of finding them in the future. With ISR, you can search for content or bring back all messages SENT and RECEIVED to an email address.

Outlook Add-In
Users can use the MailMeter Outlook Add-in to search the archive. The Outlook Add-in is installed on a user's PC (Citrix friendly). They can choose the easy search or click on Advanced Search.
Messages are retrieved from the archive and copied into a temporary folder, Search Results, in their mailbox. They can drag and drop these messages, reply or forward the message, or delete the message (does not effect the archive copy). This temporary folder is emptied each time a user clicks on a different folder. Searches can be saved for easy reuse.
How MailMeter ISR Works
MailMeter ISR is a browser based application that a user logs into (or is automatically logged in using Active Directory). Their search criteria is passed to the MailMeter server with the user's security credentials. Only their own messages can be retrieved.
In addition to the Outlook Add-in, the ISR web browser interface can reside in Outlook — just create a folder and point its home page at ISR.
